Privacy policy
Effective August 1, 2026
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, Crumb’s hosting, analytics and advertising providers may automatically receive technical information such as your browser type, device type, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed and the time of your visit. This information is used to operate, protect and understand the site.
Crumb also keeps anonymous daily totals for page views and important site actions. These totals contain the page path and event count only; they do not store IP addresses, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers or a visitor profile.
Advertising and cookies
Crumb uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, personalize and measure ads based on this visit and visits to other websites. These technologies may collect information about ad views and interactions.
You can review or change how Google personalizes ads through Google’s My Ad Center. You can also manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Affiliate links
Some pages on Crumb — the kit pages and the tool recommendations inside recipes and guides — contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you buy something after following one of these links, Crumb may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The retailer, not Crumb, receives your order and payment details.
Following an affiliate link means the retailer may set its own cookie to attribute the visit. Crumb is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Recommendations are chosen editorially; a commission never buys a placement.
Direct payments
When you make a direct payment to support Crumb, checkout is handled by Stripe. Crumb stores the resulting order status, product, amount, currency and the email address supplied during checkout so the payment can be reconciled and supported. Crumb does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.
The Sunday Bake newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, Crumb stores your email address, the page you subscribed from and the date you subscribed. The address may also be synchronized to Resend, Crumb's email delivery provider, so requested newsletters can be delivered and subscription preferences can be enforced. It is never sold, rented or used to build an advertising profile.
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask to be removed at any time. Unsubscribing keeps a record of your address marked as unsubscribed so that we don’t accidentally add you again.
Information you choose to provide
If you voluntarily subscribe, send feedback or otherwise contact Crumb, the information you provide is used only to respond or deliver the service you requested. Crumb does not sell personal information.
Third-party services
Crumb may link to other websites or use services supplied by hosting, payments, analytics, advertising and media providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Data choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information. You may also opt out of personalized advertising through the controls described above.
Children’s privacy
Crumb is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the site’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest revision.
